June 20 · Summer Solstice Salon: Reclaiming Joy as Practice

from $80.00

Joy isn’t frivolous. Pleasure isn’t selfish. Play isn’t something you earn after the work is done.

As Black women, we’ve been conditioned to equate worth with productivity, often at the expense of ease and delight. But what happens when we resist the urge to treat our light as something to be managed? We will celebrate pleasure as practice, passion as fuel, and playfulness as a form of resistance against the world’s relentless expectations.

This will be an evening of conversation and communion with other women of color as we explore how to integrate joy into daily life as fuel for sustainable thriving, not as an escape. We’ll discuss the divine feminine archetypes, examine pleasure as both restoration and resistance, and practice permitting ourselves to play without guilt.

The Summer Solstice invites us to bask in the light of the sun… this gathering is an opportunity to discover how to bask in our own light as well.

Registration includes light bites, wine, tea, special gifts to take home, and a curated conversation. Don’t miss out; space is limited to 10 women.

Early Bird ends June 10

Details: We will gather from 6 to 8 pm with light bites and beverages provided

Location: Private venue located in Washington, DC. Exact address provided to registrants 2 days before the event.
